IMS detects trace Quantities of harmful Components in Showcases
At regular intervals the Ion mobility spectrometer system (TDS-IMS) is in use to monitor the air quality in museums and showcases. To prevent a possible harmful attack of contaminants on exhibits of great historic value the system proved as a powerful and high sensitive instrument. Furthermore, the coupled thermal desorption unit provides the analysis of solid samples in respect of the liberation of harmful volatile compounds.
